According to their myspace, Raunchy is metal/thrash/rock.
I wouldn't have a clue, but they may very well be the single most awesome thing to come out of Denmark.

This Legend Forever live (from their album Death Pop Romance).

The sound quality isn't great, you can barely hear the chorus, so here's the album version.

And their myspace for more songs etc.

Also, I don't see the point in paying out bands for having a myspace profile. Sure, a lot of people make their own bands, stick them on myspace, and really do suck. But then epic bands like In Flames, Pantera, Iron Maiden, etc. have also put their shit on myspace, so the bias against it is a bit retarded IMO.

Also, Meshuggah have released their new album obZen this year and the video for the track Bleed is out now, sadly I can only seem to find it on myspace tv.

Okay, so Meshuggah's new music video, Bleed from their new album obZen, is on YouTube now.

I got their new album now. I'd give it a 6 out of 10. If you like really really obscure avant-garde experimental prog shiz then this is for you. If you don't, then this is still for you. I had fun blaring this stuff from my windows and seeing the scared faces of chavs and small children look around in terror. Apart from the song in the video, my other favourite tracks are Combustion, Lethargica and Dancers to a Discordant System.

Opeth's new album Watershed is out now. I have yet to download or buy it, but it's Opeth so you should buy it anyway.

I finally got my hands on G3: Live in Tokyo. I can't wait to give it a spin :3

What's some good Opeth albums to buy? Because I've never really listened to them but I want to give it a shot and I really don't know where to start.

I would say buy them all but I'd recommend: -

Orchid
Damnation
Blackwater Park
Ghost Reveries
Morningrise

I downloaded the new album, Watershed, last night. It was amazing.

Also, The Black Mages third album is out, get that too if you can.

Holographic Universe by Scar Symmetry.
Nice and heavy. Pretty symphonic. Some nice guitar melodies and some nice dissonant riffs too. Some good vocals interspersed with death growls, making a pretty interesting mix. Sort of fusion between Melodic Death Metal and Power Metal with a smidgeon of Thrash present. Definitely worth getting. Slightly progressive in places.

obZen by Meshuggah
Super heavy. Utilising down-tuned 8-string guitars, poly-rhythms, oddball time-signatures, angular dissonant riffing, basically it's Meshuggah and that's all you really need to know. As I've said before, it's technical and it's metal. Essentially it's musician's music but some of my friend's who aren't musicians love it. It also confuses non-metal heads, especially Chavs. Blare this out your windows and people will literally shit themselves, although expect to find a crowd of metal-heads moshing outside your house. You should totally get this.

Here is the music video to Bleed (from the album obZen): -

Watershed by Opeth
Absolutely amazing. Ranging from medieval/baroque-esque mellow and gentle acoustic driven songs to brutal death metal riffs and Death Growls often differing between throughout some songs. It's Progressive Metal combined with Folk, Blues, Jazz and an organised mish-mash of various genre's. It's Opeth at their very best. There is some stuff in their album Blackwater Park that is better but I this album as a whole is generally better.

Here is the music video to Porcelain Heart (from the album Watershed): -

Black Mages III - Beyond Darkness and Starlight by The Black Mages
Third album by Japaneese wizards, The Black Mages for a third does of Final Fantasy battle music Progressive/Symphonic Metal style. What can I say other than it's nothing short of pure musical genius? This is album just shows what a good arranger Nobuo Uematsu and the rest of the band are. It is so much better than their first two albums and those were brilliant. Pantera-esque in some places with brilliant keyboard work. Definitely worth getting.

Yngwie Malmsteen is bringing out a new album this year in August. If it anything like previous works then you shuold get it, only time will tell.

I'm so glad they didn't randomly fucking change their style. I hope they never do. Badass song, but Operation Ground and Pound still has one of the best videos of all time.

It's DragonForce, what else did you expect? I've heard the full-length version and all I can say is \m/(^_^)\m/

The date for Malmsteen's new album release is the 6th of August hopefully and apparantly As Blood Runs Black and Anathema are both releasing albums this year too. Woohoo.
