I don't think Barbecue is so out there for christmas as you say.
Anyways, it's also summer now where I live, so...

What i meant was that because i've always know christmas to be in summer. It being all winter themed is a little bit weird for us.

But it actually is pretty cool having it in summer because you get christmas during the summer vacation (doesn't apply to me because i don't go to school), And not having to put up with the cold is a plus (although the heat is another problem in itself. Thank god for aircon), and last but not least: the ability to have a christmas pool party or spend it at the beach. I also find that i drink much less during winter than i do during summer. I dunno why it just feels more free to fuck around during summer. So Having a summer piss-up during christmas is also great too.

And yet for some reason you can still catch boring "White Christmas" related songs on the radio, despite the fact that most of the people here will never see one.

Well the summer vacation thing is a moot point since we get our own break for Christmas. In high school it was only like a week and a half, but in college I get 5 weeks. Christmas in summer would be interesting though.

I should also point out that just because its winter here does not stop people from going to the beach for Christmas unfortunately. One time one of my parents 'gifts' was a weekend in Ocean City for Christmas weekend, it was the stupidest thing ever.

I live on the Isle of Wight. Despite the fact that temperatures reach lows of between -5 and -10 during the winter, it hardly ever snows. It has snowed once this winter, and it all melted the next day. How is that for irony?

UPDATE: It snowed for 2 days straight 2 weeks ago. There are still massive blocks of snow/ice that haven't melted.

i've always thought that you could have a door that just leads outside with mesh surrounding the door and just build shelves right outside. That way you don't need to buy a fridge.
