Wes is the phatom slasher.

Postby Forerunner Traziun » Sat Sep 17, 2005 5:01 pm

Obviously, he is. He helps Rhue out in his phantom slasher form, and also his normal state (when he helps him out in the beginning.) It makes so much sense doesn't it! There's so much to be revealed about Wes, what an important character he is to the plot!

Either that, or like Gaius says, Rhue is. When Rhue gets injected he goes crazy and attacks those people in Estrana. I remember someone says that the phantom slasher "kills without purpose". When Gaius goes to Jopaga's lab and sees all of the dead people, he says something like "Death, meaningless death."

Wes? That's new :)

And the phantom slasher doesn't seem to kill without purpose. It's been discussed that he only attacks those who have done wrong and never any children.

Having said that, many things point to Rhue being the slasher. Same counts for Gaius I guess...

He probably doesn't wack kids, I can't recall the line exactly but I think it can be read a different way.
Maybe if you know your true love is about to move away to college or something, you can stick this shit in the stereo and make the moment last while at the same time listening to pussies whine about bitch shit. Just like you.

He did kill that woman in Estrana after rescuing her from the bandits, though...

Hmmm, I seem to recall there being a theory that the lady had done some bad things too, but I don't remember exactly what it was...

Either way, IF he only kills bad people then the people at the camp in Ep1 must have had evil intentions, which I kind of doubt... Then again, the scene is one of the strange pictures during the Jopaga drugging scene so it may have further importance.

The chick was hanging out in the headquarters for a gang.
Odds are she's not a nice person.

It's been a little while since I played, but IIRC, I got the impression that the phantom slasher was following Rhue.

If you will pay attention, then it becomes amazingly obvious that the Phantom Slasher is Dippy.
He is the only one who can get away with vanishing for long periods of time without suspicion, AND get away fast enoguhw ith his Dip-tastic speed.

Think about this for a minute. Kills without purpose...

The purpose is their religion.

The phantom slasher is someone who doesn't beleive in the purpose, and Rhue certainly fits the profile.

Oh, and for those of you paying attention to the details... yes it is 6:40. I couldn't sleep.

That's interesting.
Does Gaius believe in the Purpose?
I think so.
