I think he's important in the sense that he's part of the comic relief, evertime we see him he's either near death, making up idiotic poems and reasons for his importance or a girl's just slapped him for being too frisky. If I remember correctly when he had that altercation with Slade, he did all those things in one scene.

Alan isn't important, but one of the other times someone made a topic about this, fwacho specifically commented on how it was important that Alan was there when the Phantom Slasher was. So how could he not have known?

Fwacho was also quite right in saying that Alan goes WAY over the top in E6.

You mean like Traziun, Kloe, Gaius, Scatha, and quite a few other characters?

It just wouldn't work without it.

That's like asking how Rhue, Cetsa, Dirk, Kloe, and Sacrifa survived.

He could have been just as strong as Rhuw by then, it's just never really built on because it's not important.

His ego and pride probably reduces his actual skill...

and the thing about him liking boys...

ROFL, probably has a "passionate" dream about rhue being his archnemesis XD

He was probably thrown out of town before it was destroyed by the angry boyfriend/brother/father of some girl he met.

Of course Alan is important, thats why we still talk about him.

I mean, how can a pompous pervert who's past his prime not be important?

Even tough i don't like Alan and i think that he is a total douche, i liked the part in episode 3 where Alan tries 'sweet-talking' some random chick and then Slade comes along and stabs him, that was cool.

He didn't stab him, just kicked his ass XD

Anyway, we know the reasons for all those characters in the cities. Lyrra was brought by Strata who wanted to make a name for himself and look awesome, Slade was bringing Cetsa to justice, Rhue was going after Cetsa who brought along his band of thugs, Gaius was doing his thing, whatever the hell that is... etc etc.

So why did Alan decide to go to Estrana then? Not like he has anything to do, or even participated in the tourny. What was he even doing in the forest near the end of the way, by Sacrifa's camp? Do you honestly think he's just... there?
