Yes because if the LOTR films followed the books exactly they'd all be over 5 hours long dumbass.

But the three LoTR movies are almost 5 hours long anyways.

I've got the directors cut of them. Return of the King is 4 hours. I usually can't even watch it in one sitting.

Nah, they're about 3 hours. If they followed the books 100% they'd be about 7 hours each.

All together, there at least 4 or 5 hours long. Plus the deleted scenes.

Huh? Each theatrical version is at least 3 hours long.

3 X 3 = 9 hours. Add in deleted scenes and you have another hour and a half at least.

Yeah, your right, the first one is 2 hours and 58 minutes, with 30 minutes of deleted scenes, the second one is 2 hours, and 59 minutes, with 44 minutes of deleted scenes, and the third one is 3 hours and 21 minutes, with 50 minutes of deleted scenes. Altogether, that's 9 hours and 19 minutes without deleted scenes and 11 hours and 23 minutes with deleted scenes, which, by the way, is a lot more than Sling's estimate of 3 hours.

Getting back on topic, Depp should be Traziun and I'll kill anyone who disagrees. Unless of course said disagre-er is Lun. I think fwacho said he liked the choice of Depp for Traziun anyway, but I'm not sure...

Didn't we already discuss this?

On Topic: Who should be the director? I think Steven Soderbergh would be good. Also, how would the scene with Slade's family work? Should it be completely be encasted in shadows, or should some body parts be visible and mostly only the face is hidden?

I reckon the images should be blurred, like a distorted memory.

He's too much of a producer to have the real imagination that the Way requires. Also wtf, he made boring films like Ocean's 12.
