I like my Fight Club based theory about Rhue (You know, the unconcious thing) and remember that if its accurate, then Rhue's perceptions would be twisted so what he saw when he was alone might not have been completely accurate. Perhaps HE smashed the cell door open or whatever.

Rhuke fights the monster and wins. Think of Lyla as Serena, and the monster is what Serena has become. The ancient artifact that seals the ability to love others could be the pendant or a sword. Serena can't face Rhue because she has become a monster.

But then again...I think it could be Rhue :shock:
And the cycle goes on...

i personally think that Gaius is the PS he talks as if he knows Rhue from somewhere else and mentions a person that they killed....also he fits the little shape thingy...but just a theory
