An aquifer is an underground water layer, I don't think it has anything to do with a bear.

Also, isn't Kalmar something to do with squid?
ALAN: Badgering? I never mentioned
a badger. I'm talking about kitty
kats.

Fero, ferre is a verb to bear, to carry it is corrected now.
http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=aquifer
It also appears in:
transfer (Lat. trans -across + ferre -to bear, to carry)
confer (Lat. con-, com- together, cum -with + ferre -to bear, to carry) word conference is also derived from it.
conifer (Lat. conus -cone + ferre -to bear, to carry)
cruciferous (Lat. crux, crucis -cross + ferre -to bear, to carry)
differ, different (Lat. dis -apart + ferre -to bear, to carry) Lat. differre -set apart, put off, delay
offer (Lat. ob -to, in front, against + ferre -to bear, to carry)
reference (Lat. re -back, again + ferre -to bear, to carry)
suffer (Lat. sub -under + ferre -to bear, to carry) Lat. sufferre -to bear, undergo, endure
In Latin in front of f dis- assimilates into dif-, ob- into of-, sub- into suf-

Kalmar is probably from Spanish calmar -to calm down, to calm, to subside with meaning of pacifier.

Arctura last boss in the Way is probably named after Arcturus brightest star in constellation Boötes
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arcturus
It is derived from Ancient Greek name Αρκτουρος (arktouros) αρκτος (arktos) -bear + ουρος (ouros) -guard in reference to its proximity to Ursa Major and Ursa Minor (Lat. ursa -female bear, ursus -bear).
http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Arcturus

Zedicus Lat. sedere -to sit + dicere -to say, to tell or dicare -to dedicate (sits talking or sits dedicated) or sedere -to sit + ic -of, related to
