So I recently watched Let's play the way by Malefact and I'm bothered by how he pronounced it. Is it the real pronounciation? Lan-DO-rin. I always read it as LAN-do-rin and it just kind of broke my childhood

< Coming from the person who pronounced Traziun... Tran-zi-uhn
I read it as Lan-dur-rin ><
Hmmm...

LAN-do-rin
Lan-DO-rin
Lan-Dur-en
Lan-door-in
Lands-!
Lyrra ... (Lie-rah) not (Lair-rah)
Barrucha ... (Bah-RHUE-cha) not (bah-rhue-cha) or (Bar-rhue-cha) or (Bar-U-cha) (as in Una (one in EspaƱol) or (Bar-uh-cha)
Cetsa ... (Sets-ah) not (Set-sah) or (Seat-sa)
Estrana ... (Es-Tran-Ah) not (EST-rana) or ('Strana)
Traziun ... (Trah-zi-uhn) not (Tra-zi-uhn) or (Tra-zen)

Awhile back there was a big argument on the pronunciation of Jeruh, it was between Jer-uh and Jer-oo. Even Fwacho and Lun disagreed on the pronunciation.

Was a consensus ever reached?

"Lan-door-in" is how i've always said it. It feels natural to me that way. Tell you the truth there are several things in The Way that's hard to pronounce.
What always interested me was how people with heavy accents sounded the words out. I imagine at least one character from The Way had an accent.

This is the one that always gets me. I always read C's as a hard sound like K's rather then S's. Really not a big fan of the name either way, which sucks cause Cetsa is one of my favorite characters.

no, in Landorin I actually meant where do you put the stress. I read it as 'Lan'dorin with the stress on 'Lan', the LP guy really bothers me when he reads lan'do'rin.
Also I read cetsa as ketsa.

Its about a 2 page argument, and now for a limited time, you too can experience it
first hand! /announcer voice
Also in retrospect the 'big argument' would have been better qualified as 'Impossible Vs The World'

Well good to know I've been mispronouncing Jeruh all this time, though I did like the guy who pronounced the J as a Y.
