At this point I could go for anything new from The Way, sequels, prequels, remakes, spin offs, just want something. I've been asking the same questions now for years.

I think it's safe to say that's how almost everyone feels. But I guess the whole point of The Way was to leave you with that "what if..." feeling. Personally I like The Way as it is but some more background to some of the characters would be nice. I can't help but feel in Ep 5-6 Lun was in a rush to the finish line. So some characters like Dirk and Scatha or... Tetsel and Sacrifa stories seemed like they were left behind.

Yeah it's been discussed that the story was compressed down in order to just finish it, a lot of loose end left hanging and some character just never fully fleshed out. I agree, Dirk, Scatha, and Tetzel seem like a story arc abandon during the making of Episode Six. And I'm sure Rhue past is connected even more so then we already know. I'm not sure were Episode Seven would have gone, but I feel a lot would have been spent digging up the history of The Way.

I dunno what you could get from a 7th episode. It could have been a huge prequel, because I don't see Lun starting where he left off. Unless he'd thicken the content in Ep 5 specifically or replace Ep6 with Ep7 and add more content to the previously mentioned.

I'd be interested in any The Way realated like spin-offs or comics or fangames shit. Actually I've been thinking a crossover of A Blurred Line and The Way.

It always annoyed me how Rhue set off to find the Book of Sermeot or whatever, then that entire storyline just disappeared when he went to Dream Estrana. I like the way the story panned out, but I was still bothered that something that looked to be Rhue's new main objective (when Dirk brought it up), was abandoned and never mentioned again.

I think maybe that part should've been left out, or have Rhue find Tetzel before he got to the End of the Way (and find out he didn't have the books or something), 'cause on my first playthrough it left me pretty confused... "Wasn't I supposed to be looking for those books?! Ah, I'm sure I'll get there eventually."

Also, strong 3200th post, Impossible. 3000 more than me. xD

I recently spoke to Lun, and here's his answer:

Hey PsychicK,

Thanks for the e-mail. I'm sure there are plenty of people who feel the same as you about The Way. It's true that there are a lot of open ends.

I did an interview that kind of discusses this aspect of The Way. I believe I talk about the loose ends starting somewhere on the second page. Let me know if the link doesn't work correctly.

I'm sorry if fans feel neglected. For many years now, I have had little to offer.

I believe The Way already has a resolution of sorts. (see the interview). On the whole, I'm pleased with it.

Also, I have many fond memories of releasing each new episode to waiting fans That is something I will never forget.

Until I have something new to offer, I don't expect I will have much of a presence. Fans will forget me long before I forget them.

Thanks,

Lun / Luke

THANK YOU for finding that interview, I had been searching for weeks for it. As far as I'm concerned, it gives me the sort of a closure that Episode 6 didn't.

Man I thought that was a new interview for a second. Got my hopes up guys...
I wonder if he ever got around to finishing that graphic novel. I think that was in the works a long time ago with Rangi; however, I know that Rangi has moved on to other things. So does that mean that novel is on permanent hiatus?

Flaming fires Lun.... where are you?

I guess it's time to make that remake... just replace all of the Serenas with "Lun"

pretty sure the graphic novel didn't make it very far. I did get to see a few pages of it, e.g.:

I used to have a full draft of the script for it but I must have lost it in a reformat some years ago.

That's some nice work! Who drew it? Lun? Rangi? It sorta looks like Rangi's style. I must say in just one page they made a interesting looking character. A Shadow Arm?

I don't remember anything about a graphic novel. Did it follow the same plotline as the series or was it new story?

Yes indeed, that was the work of our man Rangi.

The graphic novel was a completely new story within The Way universe, and if I remember correctly, it took place a while before the games. There was at least one major connection between the stories, but I actually didn't pick up on it until Lun explained it to me. Nevertheless, I remember being pretty enthralled reading what he sent me.

And to those it interests, the name of the character from that page is Lilah.

The bird lady, seems to be an origin of where her disease came from, would definitely like to read that.
