And that is why we call him Sage of the Wise.

CoR v3.0 is now available, and is even more available to all you zshare.net people.

This is the last update you will see in a while, because next it will be 4.0 (in a few months)
I hope you enjoy, and everyone who was complaining about a few things should try it out now.
The Hero's move speed isn't going to be changed, but I may add in a running system along the line.

Filefront

V3.0 includes...

*3 more playable scenes between unplayable ones (The aura Isle ones were kinda just smooshed together.)
*A Seth 'point' system. You can find hidden scenes in which seth speaks to himself and talks about how his life used to be. (these decrease his ruthlessness by 1 point each, especially if you've killed the guards in Aura Castle.)
Reveal: The first one is somewhere in Lynca forest (first intro forest)
*More of a 'tutorial' explaining on how to jump, etc.
*More Abs usage
*Intro to Flare and Veist
*Revamped message box (text isn't all jammed into the left corner)
*Fixed Dialogue
*Speeches before duel System
*More Herb chests for herblore system

...
And much more.

Happy New Years,
~Stedar

Ok Stedar, i've played your game and these are my honest opinions.

too much jumping around, music doesn't fit (sort this out please) and was hard work to get through.

Graphics were good and your attention to detail on maps is excellent, those events you put in made it smoother, in contrast to the story, which whilst possibly good in concept is presented with pants results.

The dialougue is poor too. It's not childish, it just lacks depth. the whole demo could be made shorter, just refine it. Ok, so it's a demo, but what you release in these terms should be refined, not a draft. It has the air of the superfluess throughout, it permeates everything about it.

There is way to much cutscenes and flashbacks in order to make up for the character depth which is lacking. This is also flaccid and flabby though, it needs as much care as your maps and it just doesn't get it. The quantity of gameplay is insanely low.

By contrast, the introduction of the herblore system and the jumping system are good, and once again I commend your programming.

The whole game lacks speed and precision though ,which is so frustrating. A game should not take effort to get through, but this did. The character speed could be higher, but the scroll speed of the text must increase. if that was sorted, the music was sorted and some more gameplay were added then the game would become passable instead of crap, which it currently is. For gameplay you could turn the cutscene fighting like with fake Nils or with the guards outside the castle into something like standard rpg maker battles, or similar.

It's good that it wouldn't take too much work to make it so much better though.

Finally, it isn't without further adieu, it's without further ado, because the former means without further farewells and the correct means without further delay. Also, the duel against Wind didn't function.

Good Luck

sorry guys, there were some problems with a few scenes someone pointed out to me, re-download for the latest updates.

@poenaensis:
Thanks for taking the time to play.
I am adding in a running system, the text has already been worked on for 4.0 later on...
Standard battles will be put in, etc.
The music was a part that some of the other people who have played said that it was good... I'm not sure what problems you have with it, but there will be new bgms put in later.

I hope you'll try 4.0 and see how much I am improving.

I haven't actually been testing these, I think I might just wait to the 'final' version comes out, or something.

I thought that sometimes instead of creating a mystical atmosphere (e.g. in the forest at the beginning) the music made the mood slightly silly. It wasn't bad though, appart from the opening music and credits which you already know about.

Yeh, thatat's what I meant Angel, thanks. It's not that the music's bad. just on occaisions it doesn't fit, and for someone who sits at the piano and improvises depending on his mood, it really bugs me when music doesn't fit mood.

I even picked up a recorder to learn solace 3

This is a game perfect for my grandparents.

Otherwise you might wanna increase the speed of text and movement. It feels like I'm in Legion Saga I already as soon as I control the character.

I'm not into the real game yet so you might want to fix that up a bit.

You could also improve on the intro. Realkly doesn't tell anything what the game is about (when you press the new game button, not the interface; you might wanna change that too if you can.).

Don't remind me that I actually completed it

Also (if there is, haven't even played since my previous post), remove the names likes potions and stuff like that from those ordinary items. Try something like herbs (RE ripoff...) or wood chippings; anything creative as such will be good enough.
