Yeah, I don't think anyone's going to. Next song.

You guys fail so goddamn hard. It's SO EASY. I refuse to give the answer until someone gets it. It's not even remotely obscure. But I will post the next song:

By the way, the first song nobody got was Aerie Fortress, from Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. It's an awesome game, and there's lots of better music in it than that. People really need to play it. It's arguably better than the DKC games. And the team who made it is the exact same group of people who are making Super Mario Galaxy, which looks incredible.

That's the first overworld/field music from Final Fantasy Adventure/Sword of Mana. Great game.

That's great, but WHY DON'T YOU KNOW THE OTHER ONE?

A Bunch of Losers in Order of Quality

Jeramyu: 5
Sage of the Wise: 2
Teenr0cker: 1

For this next one, I don't want Jera to guess right away, because I'm curious to see if someone can get this without probably having it on their computers. I'll explain why afterwards, I wouldn't want to hint at it too much yet. I don't think it's hard, though, because the song's structure gives it away.

God, that sounds 68.3 (repeating, of course) percent similar to "Within Sadness" from Fire Emblem (Rekka no Ken), but there's enough distinction between them. Still, it's very game-over-y/sadness-y.

For the older song, is it somthing from Ogre Battle 64?

Nope.

The key to the last song I posted isn't the music itself. For once, it's not about memorisation or knowing the song. It's really a mix of game trivia with music trivia. I think it's pretty clever, and the game isn't even remotely obscure. Just listen to it closely, it should sound familiar in a sense, even if you've only heard it once in your life.

Is it the "Ballad of the Windfish" song in Majora's Mask that doesn't actually sound anything like the actual Ballad of the Windfish? I'm pretty sure, I just can't go back to the game and check.

That's correct, but yeah, that sounds NOTHING like the original ballad. The crappy sequencing job doesn't help, but I've played through Link's Awakening more times than years you've been alive, and I can't pick any sort of meaningful resemblance from that bit.

As a small anecdote, I was a retarded little kid when I first played through it. I thought the ghost that starts following you around after you finish Angler's Tunnel was a real ghost haunting my gameboy. I almost stopped playing before it finally muttered about the old house by the bay.

My Animal Crossing town song has and always will be Ballad of the Windfish.

Sage got it. The trick, of course, was not in knowing the song. There's no way I'd use something as recognisable as the real Ballad of the Wind Fish. To get it, you just had to identify that a) the song has the structure of a Zelda ocarina song, and b) it uses the four instruments of Majora's Mask. And the only song like that is the fucking insult is Link's Awakening lovers everywhere that is MM's Ballad of the Wind Fish. I really don't understand why they didn't use the REAL Ballad, rather than calling a different, very crappy song by that name, but at least it made for good trivia. Still, it pisses me off. Nintendo NEVER use LA's music, and it's so awesome.

Slightly Redeemed Losers and Winners

Seriously, someone work out that other song already. The next song is finally ready:

That's the music for Fire! from Game and Watch Gallery, one of my brother's favorite tunes. He was really good with that one, but I could get over 2000 points in oil panic, no sweat.

Damn, now that was impressive. G&WG4 was awesome. I would expect that to be much harder than the easy one that somehow nobody has worked out yet.

I Wonder When I'll Run Out of Things to Put Here

Jeramyu: 7
Sage of the Wise: 4
Teenr0cker: 1

This next one should be fairly obvious if you've ever played the game, and my intuition is somehow telling me that Jera is probably more likely to have played it than anyone else, although I have no idea why. So that's not a good step in my attempt to defeat him. >_< By which I mean, get someone else to defeat him. Stop getting here so slowly, Sage!
