Um, I think the entire point of that video was that it isn't pre-rendered, showing off the PS3's power.

However, that was all it did - FFVII has NOT been announced as a PS3 game, it was a tech demo video, much like the fight between Link and Ganondorf shown at Spaceworld when the GCN was revealed. They did a similar thing with a FFVIII cutscene when the PS2 was revealed, and we never saw anything like that actually on the PS2, so there's no guarantee it's really going to be as amazingly powerful as it looks.

Not "it's not coming for sure". You've got it the wrong way around. It's probably not coming; it was only a tech demo.

Why's that? Supporting systems with crappier games, horrible controllers, worse systems(maybe not so much with the XBox) and.....need I go on cause I can.....makes somebody a realist? 8)

Point taken, but Impossible always seems to know what he's talking about... I agree, I hate the nintendo controllers, except the SNES controller, that rocked (for it's time).

But honestly I did get used to it after a while of playing it at my uncle's...
I liked the playstation controller MUCH better tho :P

You know what's retarded? I never once said anything that was "so against the PS3", and I definitely don't "support systems with crappier games and horrible controllers". Impossible's right about the FFVII tech demo. Yoichi Wada, president of SQ-EX, has commented on several occasions already that it was only meant as a demo of what the PS3 can do. He chose the intro scene of FFVII because it is a memorable scene and it would be easier for people to compare the PSX and PS3 versions this way. They could have shown Aeris' Death but it appears that scene is featured in Advent Children so people would think it's a rip off.

Either way, Wada has also stated he will not make remakes of games people can still play with new generation consoles. Since the PS3 is compatible with PSX games there's not much of a chance of seeing PSX games remade by them, including FFVII.

Too bad, cause I was indeed masturbating during the footage 8)
Okay, maybe not but I was still excited about it. After all it WAS the first RPG I had ever played.
