I don't want to be the fanboy of FF7 here... but what really pulled me into FF7 was the storyline and characters. I could go on for pages on the symbology of it(well...not really but I can copy and paste pages and pages about it because I'm lazy). Maybe it's just that I'm a fan, but there's more to FF7 than meets the eye(kind of like transformers) after just one playthrough. I mean other than the way, it's the only rpg I have enjoyed playing. It's the only reason that I ever put down my FPS's and platformers. Anyways, I don't think it's fair to just call it standard even if you're not a fan.
