My computer's an AMD athlon 1800+ XP 1533mhz
with 512MB of DDR ram (not sure about the speed).
64MB G-force 4 MX 440 graphics card
and itergrated sound.

My question is:
Would I be able to run Doom 3 with my current setup?

I have a pirated copy of the game but I haven't been bothered to install it because my computer probably can't run it.
oh yeah by the way. Doovy & Co. are not gone. After all... I am Doovy and Forunner is still here.

pirated copy?

Do you have the CD Image? You need to rip it using Daemon Tools to get the CD image...DT makes a virtual drive for you to 'run' that CD Image on, tricking the computer into thinking its running it. By the by, if you use Linux, its open-source, so try that! I witnessed the amazing speed of linux when my buddy partitioned my harddrive faster than I could say BAM! He also copied it onto his backup faster because...well, windows apparently sucks at doing that... YAY FOR A SUPERIOR BUT HARDLY RECOGNISABLE OS!!!WHICH MEANS ITS NOT A MAC!

I use Alcohol 120% for my images.

So would my computer be able to run it OK?

Yeah. I fogot to mention that one as well. I would send you the "Alcohol 120% plus crack package" if I were at my more commonly used desktop...just to be sure...

to everyone who dont know if they can play the game i managed to run it on a P3 1gh with only 256ram. it will run, but not fast. it will lag but its still possible to play, the game only needs a 1.5gh prossesor anyway.

and i got a No CD patch for my copy of Doom3 but 120% works too, but i prefer to use the crack because images are too big,

When I first got Doom 3, my setup was...

Pentium 4, 3.2ghz
1GB of DDR ram,
256MB Radeon 9800 XT graphics card
Sound... Actually, I'm not sure...

Anyways, I played the game at 1024x768 at medium quality with 0 lag, even in more populated or eventful areas.

My current setup-

Pentium 4, 3.2ghz
1GB of DDR ram,
256MB Radeon X850 XT graphics card,
Again with the sound, nothing special :P

I can now run the game at the highest quality setting with a resolution of 1280x1024. You seriously will want a fast PC for this game, especially so you can experience the amazing full graphics settings. It's just so gorgeous.

As for CJ being able to play it, yeah, probably, just on a bit of a lower setting/resolution, but the point is you'll still get to play it, it's a great game.

Remeeember, always have the lights off, volume up, (EAX is nice), and a 32 inch monitor heightens the effect as well

EDIT: By the way, I actually bought the game :P , and the scariest monster imo are imps. Stupid buggers.

No, I'm 100% sure no one here does. I would suggest not trying to do that either, just get the torrent
