So what, I created a game called Sands of time 5 years before the Prince of Persia game with the same name came out.
In this day and age, an era where there are people who actually throw shit at each other, anything, could be possible.

heh, and I once did a spoof on disney, nintendo and the ff series before kingdom hearts came out... (was pretty fun story :-p)
Somehow it seems like some of MY jokes were used in a twisted way in KH... RIPOFF! That's what you get for posting a story online huh?

oh btw, no critisism from me, but to me it seems you haven't been 'going around with your characters' for long enough. It's pretty important to really get into the head of your characters and to write down what they feel. Important is also not to think like you would think they think...
Take a friend as an example and try to build on that how would he think... and then you get roling ^_^.
I might be mistaken, but it seems they are either not very deep 'yet'; or you are a little too vague to have solid conclusions on them.

one character can be based off you, but it'd be better if you combined someone elses thought pattern in making the character, otherwise bthe character becomes somewhat predictable, unless your'e really schizo.

Yeah, that's exactly what I meant dude ^_^
that's what I've done for my stories too, worked like a charm.
If you partly base a character on somebody ya know, it becomes tons more lifelike... rhue could partly be somebody you know for real (an emo kid for example... *grin*) and part of him was 'invented' to make him more psycho and thus interesting...
anyway, keep up the game and don't rush it. Good stories take years to develop into fantastic stories that keep fans reading or playing it for decades to come (not referring to the mario bros series though eheheh)

I actually bothered reading all 192 of the RPGBible rules...

Very handy for the budding RPG maker.

That's why all the characetrs in the game I'm making are all based on real people, well, almost.

Yes, its great to know that you haven't blasphemed in any way when creating your rpg.

I think it's hardly possible, seeing how about all rpg's even the way makes a few mistakes by taking in some of the bible's rules...
Trying to reshape your story to avoid clichés doesn't always mean that you're doing a better job at creating something new. Trying to change often alienates people. Inovation is only good until a certain degree. Look for a gay example in how many ppl hated FFX-2 to FFX ... (don't start a new I hate ff convo here, we've had those already enough in the past, besides it would be beside the point I'm making!).
Ppl who play rpg's mostly look for things they already know in a game.
There will always be potions that restore health or similar objects...
And if they're not there, then it will be spells ...
Take those away and what's left of an rpg?
I'm just saying, trying to avoid all the bible's rules is plain stupid.
If the story you're trying to tell compelling and inovative enough on its own, then don't rewrite it because some rules make it sound like a cliche...

Okay it's time to ask the question. Why can't Alundra quote people properly? Is it just me who sees his posts as a babble of uncoordinated paragraphs with [quote] boxes flying around them?
