Stephen Colbert had the Wii on his show recently, it was pretty funny.

Seems like a lot of stores may or may not get alittle or a lot of wiis this weekend. I couldnt really get a straight answer from anyone.

The Wiis have come and gone... again...

This time I got to stand in line for 8 hours (Fine, 7 1/2 hours) just to here, "oops, we accidently sold them yesterday". Why do I always choose the one store that fucks it all up!?

I would never buy a console right after launch. Give them a few months to work out some of the chinks. Or if you're buying a PS2, get a couple dozen spare ones to keep around.

The only Wii "bug" ive heard of is the "I'm fucking retarded and threw my controller at the TV" problem, which is somthing inherit to the user, so I wont have to experience that.

For some reason I get this horrific image that there are really thick people out there somewhere, punching one another, and their Wii controllers, into destruction. But it's okay y'know, it's for the Wii Sports boxing...

Which is just as stupid, because holding the wii controller, at no point does the strap ever become taught. I've done some experimenting, theres almost no way the wrist snap will snap unless your really trying to do it, and have some scissors or somthing.

I heard there was some chick who thought you were meant to let go of the wiimote in wii bowling (as you would a bowling ball) and broke her friend's tv.

When these are the people complaining about the wii being prone to accidant, i can't say i'm suprised it has some negative reports.

They're gunna end up putting loadsa warning labels explaining specifically what the Wii controller is and is not. Just for the unbelievably stupid people who don't realise it's not a sword/light sabre/bowling ball/gun/bat/club/bow.

The Wii comes out tommorow over here, and yesterday some of my friends were in Electronics Botique, looking at gaming stuff obviously.
Anyway, the guys started bringing these boxes in, and CJ whispers that he thinks they have Wiis. So one of them goes over, and sure enough, the label on the box said it contained Wiis.
So CJ shouts "THEY HAVE WIIs GET THEM!"
And the guys in the store burst out laughing.
After that they stood around plotting how to steal a box of Wiis while the EB guys looked decidedly amused yet uneasy.

Anyway that story had no point, but yay Wii tommorow.

I managed to get one on Sunday, sat outside Target for 4 hours, which was surprisingly fun. Zelda is pretty fun but you get way too many tools way too fast.
