You guys know alot about bad games and good games.

So can you tell me the list of games WORTH playing available on PC that doesn't cost monthly online subscriptions?

Games in general? Or do you want to know specific genre?

StarCraft: Brood Wars and C&C Generals: Zero Hour and lots of it...

Roller Coaster Tycoon was fun, I havent played that game in years though, dunno how fun it would be now.

Now that I think about it the only games I play on the computer are Guild Wars, Roms, and the various freeware games.

Oh, Total Annihilation is really good, and I always wanted to play Supreme Commander, if I ever had a computer that could run it.

Sam & Max Season One. And Sam & Max Hit the Road as well, although that would be more of a "download this" thing.

Amen! RCT will be fun forever!!! :D

Honestly, recent games just haven't stood up to the standard of all-around fun that used to be so common.

What's occupied my time these past few months are the good old SNES RPG's - the early Final Fantasy games, Tales of Phantasia, Chrono Trigger. All good stuff. Look for ZSNES - it's the best PC SNES emulator around, then google for SNES roms.

edit: I Didn't read Sage's post carefully so I sound redundant. Oh well.

RCT was fun. It allowed me to make "Commercialism isle," complete with every store available, all with vastly overpriced goods. The bathroom cost about 10 bucks, I think. And when they were broke, I'd drown the fuckers...

I'm a great Tycoon. That's a funny word..."tycoon".

Does anyone else like to raise the elevation on places where people are standing in?

I'd see how many guests I could fit on a single square then i'd turn it to water and watch all the drowning messages.

"You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat." (Albert Einstein, when asked to describe radio)
