5. Kung Fu Heroes
6. Gauntlet
7. Metroid

I never owned a NES or a SNES. I got an N64 and becuase all the other kids had spent their money on aforementioned consoles I was the only kid with an N64 in my school for awhile. I also pretty much lived in a cultureless void for 14 years meaning I wasn't fully exposed to gaming and music and stuffs until then.

Fav games that were originally released on NES that I've now either got for PS or some some such or played at some part are (in no particular order): -

Final Fantasy I and II
Zelda
Mario

And that's about it...

Ahh, it takes me back. Good times.

Zelda, The Super Marios, Final Fantasy, Metroid, and although I originally played them on the Gameboy Dragon Quest/Warrior (Whichever it's meant to be).

I don't have a particular order, all my favourite games are on the SNES. Terranigma owns all!

Castlevania, Contra, and SMB. I never beat Castlevania or SMB though. I couldn't get pass the ghosts in Castlevania and I was too lazy to figure out the pattern in 8-4 for SMB.

Compared to SNES games which are still all great, a lot of NES games have aged poorly. The SMB games were so far ahead of their time that they're still excellent today, puzzle games like Tetris and Dr Mario never really change, Zelda is always great (at least the first one, AoL not so much now), and Kirby's Adventure came out so late that it was comparable in depth to early SNES games. But most other stuff isn't that fun anymore. Castlevania is okay, but the jumping and controls are so crappy, a problem which took them a long time to do anything about (even in the better SCIV on the SNES, jumping sucks).
