It's supposed to be standard FPS fare... It's not bad, but nothing extraordinary. I guess if you weren't paying too much, it'd be worth it.

uhhh...Personally, I would enjoy getting and playing the game....but it seems the requirements are above my comp's abilities....128 Ram....some other stuff...only 10 gigs of mem on original drive...for god's sake...cant even play warcraft 3 without being the lagger against some 56k-ers

It's not that special. It has great graphics if your PC can handle it, but there are still some big aliasing issues.

The story sucks, naturally. Gameplay is standard shooter stuff, although there are some cool touches that reward interaction with various objects.
I think the main attraction in hte game is the moodsetting. It can often creep the hell out of you, if you allow it of course (read: if you can put aside your macho-behavior).

I'd only get it if you're a shooter fan who enjoys the single player aspect of it.

I've played it, and just got pissed at it because I had to scroll through weapons constantly for lack of ammo and just to use a torch. Where for hell's sake is a light scope.

I dunno about half-life 2: I never played half life.

Silent Hill 4 looked pretty freaking scary and cool. But I'd piss myself before I would finish it.

Oh yes, and I believe you have two buttons on the posting page. The one on the left is there for a reason. It's to make sure your post doesn't look messed. But its not that important.

DOOM 3 is going to be the best game ever. It has so many good realistic graphics and is going to be so much better then the regular DOOM games. I hope you try it out because its going to be great.
