Bioware.
"You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat." (Albert Einstein, when asked to describe radio)

Impossible. You take one character, play as him and he has health and gets equipment. And yes, story is the major aspect of an RPG. An RPG really is essentially a novel turned into a game. Zelda is most definitely an RPG.

Okay then, every game except for Puzzle games are RPGs, by your definition.

I said a DEEP storyline. Let me rephrase what I said earlier. RPGs are like great works of literature. They have a deep storyline. FF6 and beyond, (until X-2) and the Chrono series have had deep storylines. Several Zelda games have had deep storylines. I consider almost all but the first two to be RPGs. As an avid fan of the Wheel of Time series, I know storylines with complexity when I see them. Zelda games have a fairly complex stroyline, like OoT. Maybe not as good as FF8, but complex none the less.
And no, I do not consider the original Mega Man games to be RPGs. MMX before #6 is a different story.

So you're saying the first few FF games aren't RPGs, but Zelda games are? And they have deep plots? I hope you know I'm ignoring everything you say from now. Super Mario Sunshine has a story, that must be an RPG!

I picked Namco for the Tales series (and I'd kill to get ToD2 translated) and my all time favorite Xenosaga, by Monolith.

Squaresoft no longer deserves my vote, anywhere. It all went wrong when Wada became president.

My eye is fixed on Mist Walker now.

Last time I try to explain anything right after finishing an essay....
I also forgot to mention that I take many things literally.
(Especially when it annoys certain people)
