BETA TOPIC: Quite a scavenger hunt hidden in the coding

Eh, they aren't spaced out right so that doesn't work. Also, how much can we expect to find out if this clue only yields 5 letters? I mean, there isn't much need for a 5 letter key to any code... I'd hope that it's a 5 word phrase and not a 5 letter word, but who knows.

SpaceBoy2000 pointed out this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Playfair_cipher on another topic.

I'm currently reading it to try my hand at it on this: iyhnlsytba aserteaijx dmoddoioai rswfsdnmax ltouxategx eiseamwccn

Interestingly, there are x's which according to the article are used as replacements, and each of those "words" each have 10 letters, and the cipher works with pairs of letters. I'm also assuming Bishop is the key for the cipher.

P.S.: The reference came from a bookshelf somewhere in the game. The three books are Playfair, Double Playfair, and Double Transposition. So even I am on the right track, it's possible it may require a few successive decryptions using those ciphers.

I seriously dont think its going to be a phrase, or some key to crack a code, every other clue in this series of clues has led to an event on a map, so theres no reason to beleive this won't. Maby we should try and see if we found anything else already that this was supposed to lead us too. At this rate that seems much more likely than us actually deciphering it.

This doesn't have so much to do with anything, but at one of the water falls in the sewer map, there's a really long and odd comment. It's poetic, though.

They were sick of the splashing. No one wanted to get wet any more. They felt relieved as the water drained into the ground, gathering on the bedrock. I cranked the motor of the saw and split the ground in two.

Carving rock and dirt until I was swallowed by my own displaced canyon. My feet got wet, but I cut through the bedrock, right down to the core of the world. [It] (cut off) was too dense and splintered my saw.

I was cut.

The water trickled down and boiled into a fierce stream which burned me as it billowed up from the wound. My blood mixed with it and part of me was lost to the sky.

They still don't want to get wet, but I go outside when it rains to drink from the sky

You call it poetic but if you saw someone saying something like that you would call him insane.

But it's written, which makes it poetic (See The Sound and the Fury).

I kinda like it though. It definitely sparks an emotion of some sort, although I can't pinpoint which one.

Was just thinking, maybe Bishop doesn't just mean a cipher key. What if it is as in a character? This another angle to look at, though I doubt it is the right one.
What I mean is, maybe we need to look at characters with the name Bishop that good give us a clue. It could be anything even...Bishop the android full of milky goodness from Aliens!
As I said, it's a long shot, but still something worth considering.

Heh. I just remembered the sketch by Monty Python where "The Bishop" is a crime-fighter trying to stop priest being killed :P

Edit: or maybe there's a coding program called Bishop or something like that? That would make more sense.

Edit edit: Hang on...the guy opposite him is called Bishop as well...

Of course! So now we must use X-men character names to decrypt the code! It makes so much sense now...or not ;)

Maybe I'm a little out of line for saying this.. but, I'm gonna speak my mind anyhow.

Riddles and mind stumpers are fun here and there, but all this just seems sadistic to me. Figuring something out may feel more rewarding then a straight answer, sure.. but I get the feeling that maybe figuring everything out will just lead to dissapointment (Much like how Episode 6 leaves you wanting more.. which makes you want to search for clues.. which leads you around in circles.). Why make something especially interesting when you can beat around the bush and make it seem interesting for so long?

Lun seems to have a gift when it comes to the art of creating intrigue. It'd be cool if the answers to things end up being worth it.

Oh, and on a completely different note... Bishop just happens to be one of my favorite Marvel characters ever. :D
..I haven't lost anything yet. I'm just getting started!

I tried looking at the titles again for the weird code in Sorya's house (the sunset picture) and at first I thought I was going somewhere. I looked at the numbered Letter in each Way episode (That is, for "Everyone Must Bleed" I found Y, as the 5th letter of the 5th episode is Y.)
When I saw the first 3 made 'T E T' I thought it was going to say Tetzel. Of course, I knew none of them had a 'z' in the title, so I wasn't *too* disappointed when I saw the rest say "TETOY"
Well, you can't say I didn't try.

Well, you could. But that would be lying.

I don't know how much weird code you guys have founds so far, but I thought I'd just mention the one that I happened to stumble upon in the Cafe in Lexus' code where it talks about some girl he met in a dome.

Btw, where is the clues in the sunset picture? Can someone elaborate? I looked at the painting in Sorya's house but didn't see it.

Did you look at both sides of the painting? Unless Lun removed it, the code should be in the right side.

The codes still there.

I had completly forgotten about that one. Also, I noticed the picture in Sorya's house is also in Val Para, I'll have to see if that meens anything.
