Of course, that conflicts with everything we know already. Rhue was already looking for "her" before the headhunter died, so he already killed Jeruh, and we're under the impression that Rhue had Midian's aura at that time.

The fact is, even if you give us enough CLUES to work it all out, without confirmation and actual taking place in the story, it means nothing.

Finally, proof that the headhunter is Midian, I kinda wish it wasn't so obvious though, makes me feel stupid. Heh, I wonder were DSOK is now, Midian not being the headhunter was like the cornerstone of all his theories.

Actually, it isn't "proof", it's more like circumstantial evidence. This is what we were telling fwacho; he can give us all the hints in the world, but we still need confirmation. Midian being the headhunter creates a huge hole because then Rhue has no motive to be killing Jeruh... UNLESS he has the same motive as Gaius, which is unknown. But Rhue's dialogue when he killed Jeruh made him sound like he had Midian's aura already.

For all we know, that dream was one of Jeruh's fabricated memories, not the headhunters and/OR Midian's. Keep in mind, the headhunter and Jeruh died on the same day! Wow, only just realised that. >_< Guess that discounts the headhunter = Midian theory some more, although I wouldn't count it out altogether. So yes, Rhue still has those memories the same day he gets the aura.

...Which reminds me, I need to get back to that timeline I wrote a while ago! Obviously there are no more days to add, so The Way still ends at Day 20, but we have a huge point to add to Day 1.

I have already thought that the first Headhunter is Midian. Didn't I state it somewhere?
It makes sense, mostly, if Jeruh fabricated the memories from the Landorin Massacre, and was looking for Serena.

I've always thought Midian was the headhunter too, people(mainly DSOK) keep saying that it creates a huge plot hole, which it really doesn't. Midian not being the headhunter is what really creates a hole. I meen, if Midian isn't the headhunter, then who is?

DSOK seemed really adamant about that for some reason, but i suppose he often used to fail to see any opionion as calid if it wasn't supporting his own. Still it was unlike him to pin so much on a much less likly alternative.
Where is that guy anyway? Seems like he ran off shortly after he got episode 6.

You know how Rhue sees Jed's flashbacks after he kills him, and same with Slade? It's pretty obvious that Midian was the headhunter that Rhue fought on the bridge. That night, he had Midian's flashback of him running through the forest.

Wouldn't that have been Jeruh's flashback since it was a wolf in that one? Midian knew it was Jeruh chasing him, Jeruh had convinced himself it was animals.

What is the strong evidence that Midian is the headhunter, not gaius, dirk, or just some nameless bounty hunter hired by Midian or those pople in the town?

Well, we've never seen Median's charset out of dream estrana, so if we have seen him he either had his face covered (like a headhunter or a blood lyn). Either that or what he looks like doesn't correspond to what he looks like in Dream Estrana. (I've been wondering, is it possible for people to age in dream estrana? i wouldn't have thought so since there arn't hundreds of old people running around, but it could explain a couple of things.)

According to Median at the end of episode 6, he was driven into the river by Jeruh. Does it strike anyone else odd that two people actually survived the Landorin massacre? Is it just because the ps was possesing a kid at this point? Anyway, he's been searching for him (alive or dead) ever since.

No, it referred to the headhunter. If it was referring to Midian, then the answer would be that Midian is Midian, making it a pretty stupid question. The headhunter is the unknown here.

Anyway, I think that Midian must have been dead before Rhue met the headhunter. The theory of the dream happening after the headhunter's death has been debunked, so the only connection is the search for Jeruh. So I think that the Headhunter probably wasn't important. On the other hand, wouldn't Midian want to finish the job himself? Either way, we know why Midian was in contact with the headhunter in Marna Stretch, I guess...

Another thing I wanted to think about, again, was Traziun's mother. Why is she so important? It's not like there are even that many possibilities for who killed her, and if it wasn't Phantom Slasher/Kura, why would Traziun have wanted to destroy the sword? If it was someone else in the sword, they're ALREADY dead.

What I'm wondering about is that woman who tells you about Shadow Swords in the Reflective Sky area. If it's Traziun's mother, she's talking about Kalmar, if it's Luma, she's talking about Kura. If it's the former, there might be some relevance to this whole thing.

...If it's Traziun's mother, and if Rhue really is Kura in some form, couldn't we have a mix of the two...?

If the headhunter is just some guy hired by Midian, why would he try to kill Rhue after he said he didn't know Jeruh? If he just believed he knew somthing, it wouldn't be smart to kill the guy. Yet if it was Midian, and he either could sence Jeruh's aura (which is unlikly unless we can prove Midian is a sensor), or knew that Jeruh changed his name to Rhue. Think about it, if it took him so many years to catch up to Jeruh, he must have learned somthing about him along the way.
