No, The milk is spoiled, Not evil. The handsome person is attractive because my instincts tell me to look for the best breeding mate possible.
The dictators were not evil, They were mentaly ill, And wrong, Meaning, They took false information and acted upon it as if it was a fact. When I speak of The Way, I speak of its qualtiy. Not it being "good".
Following that logic Dai Katana is the devil.

There are no heroes or villains, Just people that work with the person that the story is weaved upon, And people that work against that person.

No, you don't blame the milk- You blame the smell of being bad. You say the man looks appealing, therefore good to your eyes.

You're being awfully idealistic. You can't deny the fact you like some things and dislike others. Like and dislike are part of the division.

So what your saying is god and bad is not the same as good and evil?

If so, then you have a whole new thing the argue about.
And the Lord said unto John, "Come forth and receive eternal life." But John came fifth and won a toaster.

Good and evil are the highest in the scale. If you can divide good scents and bad scents, you can just as much divide good and evil.

I can't believe you're actually arguing with me about wether humans divide good and bad. Really, in every term: If you believe in science, if you believe in Religion, they all state humans can set those apart.

Do what you will. This whole discussion was you telling me how humans defy their own minds. The seperation of good and bad was that which made all the races survive to this day. The seperation of good and evil is that emotion amplified, like many other emotions were amplified when we evolved.

Next you'll be telling me people have no survivor instinct, right?

Good and bad aren't the same as good and evil. Not even close. I'm the kind of person who refuses given concepts without reasonable explanation, I was born that way. As a child I never had a concept of good and evil, I still don't. A person who actively causes harm to others always has a reason, and if they don't, then they can't be evil because they don't have any intent. A sociopath isn't evil, they're... malfunctioning.

There's a difference between an evil, and an enemy. And enemy is someone who causes harm or conflicts with you because of difference of opinion. Evil would be something that causes you harm for no reason. Every attempt in human literature to distinguish evil with any sort of personality or reasoning fails, since it always boils down to someone trying to get some sort of gain for the harm they do, which immediately makes them no longer evil, just a bastard. Mainly because they're evil only to those they hurt (directly or indirectly) only. To acknowledge that evil exists is to acknowledge that children are satan to an anthill.

Entities can only be classified by their actions and intents which are either helpful or harmful to you, which makes them only good or bad from a relative point "I like that, I don't like that.", which is NOT good and evil, since it's entirely subjective.

The point is, Lun has never necessarily made the Lord Below evil, just apparently antagonistic to the people of the way.

Like a sociopath? I'm not trying to challenge you, but you just contradicted yourself. I have a different definition of evil anyways. I think evil exists. People who destroy/harm for the sake of destruction are evil. Sociopaths are actually more common than people think, 10% of the USA is psychopathic. The thing is, not all psychopaths, kill, hurt or hate without remorse, some of them are just really good businessmen.

No, someone who is truly evil is someone who simply enjoys watching someone or something be destroyed. And yes, people like that do exist. Bad on the other hand can mean many things, however, as Imoto put, most of them are just bad judgement calls or bad decisions, like harming someone for personal gain.

Evil cannot "exist" because all evil really is is a label for someone or somethings action or actions.

You obviously have not had a good DM then because the last campaign I played in had one hell of a story and the DM made it so that it was amplified by our characters ideas and stories thus he had us fill out questionaires.

A sociopath isn't evil. They literally just don't know any better.

Also, a person who were hurt others for pleasure, a sadist, doesn't do it to hurt others. They feel exhileration from controlling and dominating others. If it's joy from actually hurting others, I can't think of any case where the person wasn't of the perspective that the people they were hurting deserved it.

In this way, the only working definition for evil is a person that doesn't value other life, and the only time that happens is when a person despises it all for some reason, loves themself, is too sociopathic to know better, or has some other unbalance, so it's not even then really evil, because they have reasons for doing what they do, they just aren't hurt by hurting others.

And if we go by the definition that evil is a person who doesn't feel pain from causing harm to others, then evil is merely apathy, which is way too bland for lun to use.

Okay. Let me fix my definition. I do not think evil people exist yet. Hence, any attempt from your side to to actually contradict my definition by bringing real world example is null and void.

Evil does bad things for the sake of doing bad things while being mentally stable. He does bad things for the sake of doing bad things, he hurts people for the sake of hurting people, and kills in order to kill. No other purpose. Not for revenge, he's not forced in any way to do this, by neither the situation nor by a person.

Good and bad are not good and evil. I've never said they are. But good and bad are the inital devision, the first division. From there, you can divide things into things you like and things you dislike. In the same way you like cola and dislike, say, I dunno, tomatoes (That's an example. Do not try to contradict that >_>) you can say that Rhue is a good guy and Strata is a bad guy (Another example. I don't think any of them are evil).

Really, the two of you are being idealistic. Wether good or evil exist or don't, the mere fact that someone actually thought them up and made that division, biased and untrue as it could of been, shows that people DO make that division. You two are just stubborn in your belief they don't that you got defenesive. You think that picking everything apart to what it does and how and why will somehow change your opinion of it. But it won't, just like it won't change what that target does. If you don't like watching TVs, then you think they're bad. Not their fault, you just do, that's your personal opinion, and regardless of how it's built and what it does you'll never think it's good.
