Imoto's theory is possible but rather unlikely, Given the fact the Illuminati could not have absorbed complete auras but just fractions of them. Unlike their new form-shadow swords, that can absorb complete or nearly complete auras.

P.S.: Imoto, Mind you, Most of the older theories have been proved correct. The newer ones are harder to prove given the nature of the final episode.

Well actually, some theories, believe it or not, are educated guesses, as per the definition of the word "theory". That theory has no foundation in the reality of the game, and is pretty much a product of your imagination rather than an arrangement of known facts, as it should be.

It is an educated guess, Venge was infused with such power by the blast, So I suspect the same thing has happened to the Illuminati.

Or . . . On another thought . . . Could Venge and the Illuminati both pass their properties to each other because of the blast?

It could explain why Venge's aura got messed up

And why the swords were truly corrupted.

We draw the line when there is no evidence to prove a hypothesis. If there is evidence to support a theory in the game, then it is completely valid imo. In this case, Occam's Razor is a good thing to go by. The simplest solution is that the Lord Below exists, because there is no reason to believe he doesnt. Further, within the game, we have seen various things to suggest that he does exist. The fact that people talked about the pits and the deeps long before we entered them and all the things people said were true suggests that this heresay is probably true as well.
