Alundra wrote:Yes indeed i might have been wrong about the name of rhue's actual sword but ur missing the point!!! JERUH the man killed by rhue and gaius carried a sword too!!!!!!!!! that is the same sword that is under the ballar mansion, the same one traz dives in the pits for and kills his father with!!!
i wasn't even talking about rhue here...

I was taking for granted the obvious fact that the sword possessed by "Rhue" and that used by Jeruh were one and the same. Here's a timeline: Jeruh finds Phantom Slasher while looking for the other kids. It drives him over the edge and he commits the Landorin massacre, absorbing Serena's aura in the process. Midian hunts for Jeruh for years, finally catching up to him and killing him. However, the power of Phantom Slasher overwhelms Midian when he picks it up, and he takes on Jeruh's imaginary personality, Rhue. (I mention the absorbing of Serena's aura, because that proves that Rhue's sword, which contains Serena's aura, was the same one used at the massacre.)

Alundra wrote:I'm not talking about kalmar posessing his own son here...i'm saying he left for another body leaving trazuin sitting next to the corpse of his former body, leaving also trazuin's sword the nightreaper there... (or whaterver that name was it's not the phantom slasher or the sword lyrra ultimately obtains)
besides you messed up two distinct things that have to stay together read on

I guess I was confused by the mention of Traziun's enervation, because it would have nothing whatsoever to do with Kalmar taking a new body, unless that body was Traziun's. So why did you mention it?

Alundra wrote:I'm saying that those two figures aren't exactly kura and kava but traz near the former body of his dad...

That would be a wild and pointless coinciendence. Moreover, it fails to account for several facts. Most importantly, we know that Kalmar has possessed Ghost Horror (his shadow sword) for quite some time. Where was Ghost Horror when Jeruh picked up Phantom Slasher? And how did Kalmar's new body manage to obtain it again?

Alundra wrote:and will you quit the damn phantom slasher sword thingy... it is a different sword all together! so are jeruh and rhue before rhue becomes rhue...

See above. I know what I'm taling about.

Alundra wrote:not really dude ;-) look at what i'm trying to say here, we KNOW kava ... he's dead, dead by the ps sword, he lives in the dream estrana, we know how he looks and all... i'm not saying kalmar is kava... you just have to read it all agian

Kava is the witch's mate. 'Nuff said.

Alundra wrote:okay ur right here... but then one thing you've gotta explain... who's projecting the thing, like rhue projects the ps, somebdoy has to project this one, since it's not the sword on it's own...

Amd why isn't it the sword on its own? Seriously, there's no reason why any person has to be associated with the projection; we certainly know from Rhue's case that the projection has nothing to do with voluntary action on the part of the sword's wielder. On the other hand, it is possible that the form of the projection is always similar to that of the blade's current holder. That would explain why The Phantom Slasher looks rather like Rhue and why, to a lesser extent, The Night Reaper looks like Traziun.

Btw, the guided existed during the time of the kava kura ordeal, which might have been in the time frame of the destruction of janwen...

I think you misread what I said. The guided didn't exist until after the destruction of Janwen. So anything dealing with the Guided also has to have happened after the destruction of Janwen.

okay, true, i forgot about serena in dream estrana...
One thing though i'm confused about...
You say that it was midian that killed jeruh? What about his appearance in dream estrana??? a whole different thing right? point is he looked exactly the same as a kid as in dream estrana... not remotely like our 'rhue'...

Meh too tired to think about it right now... btw on the estrana forum a dude mentionned something pretty interesting about the shadow traz thing... he might be right ^_^ weird that just the 3 of us are debating this... don't the others care too?
oh and none of you went into reply on my version of the extended ending... no comments about that? :?

i think Median is more likly to be that Headhunter From the episode 1 bridge fight/plunge.
That would explain how median got into dream estrana (i.e. getting killed in proximity of the sword). It might also explain why in earlier version he was looking for Median (i think). Lun might have made a mistake or changed the names of Jeruh and Median.

"Rhue" was most definitely Midian originally. Midian was chasing Jeruh, something not a lot of people had a reason to do. (Gaius was also doing it, but as his goal is to purge the way of evil, and he can sense murderers at close range, he is a very special case.) More significanly, when Rhue and Midian first meet in Dream Estrana, Midian makes a comment to the effect of "I didn't expect you to look like that." However, he is not talking about Rhue, but about himself. Rhue (in conjunction with his sword, Phantom Slasher), to maintain his fantasy about who he is, has to invent an appearance for Midian (because his real appearance is exactly the same as Rhue's). That's why he looks so ridiculous, because his entire appearance is a fiction.

Umm... no he doesn't. The closest thing to it is he says "Your not the guy..." Probably because he thought he was Jeruh at first.

Ok, hypothetically assuming that's 100% true, have we figured out WHY midian's aura randomly took over nameless wanderer person?

I don't think Rhue though he was Midian at all. I think Midian was killed by Jeruh a bit before Rhue killed Jeruh. I think Rhue was most likly a head hunter of some sort.

I think Midian was that head hunter from the brifge in the beggining. If it not Midian, who else would it be?

That actually makes sense. I had always believed that Rhue wasn't Midian, but I could never find an explanation for how Midian ended up in The City.

Another idea I had was that Midian was killed by Jeruh in the Landorin massacre, but that leaves the head hunter with no explanation.

And plus Midian says that he trained with a sword and went out to hunt Jeruh.

Yeah, but I was thinking it could all be a false memory or somthing that replaced the memory of his death. No one in Dream Estrana finds it weird that their there in the first place, so they must have some memory of how they got their, true or not.

Rhue is Midian. Accept the truth. It explains everything, whereas none of these other cockamammy ideas would explain more than a single thing each.
