The swords obviously have SOMETHING to do with justice, which is why Traziun's suicide did it in. I mean, Guy X kills Guy Y, so Guy Z kills himself as revenge for the sin. What'd Guy Z do to deserve death for Guy X's sin? It's not that the sword can't physically kill those who don't deserve death, and if it's forced to kill, then it will (and you know what I mean by forced). It probably works on a crime-by-crime basis, too, so it kills people for a certain thing, not the collective of everything they've done. And maybe it works more on a basis of someone's perception of justice than on an absolute scale. And yes, I know this post is horribly inconclusive.
