What if the way is just a big circle, and the reason why dirk knows so much about everything is because he himself has made a round trip of the way? Does that make any sense at all? Because otherwise, Dirk would have had to have backtracked quite a bit, which seems to be greatly discouraged on the way. (Not meaning that Dirk didn't go backwards, but that it seems ever so slightly unlikely.)

Unless lun get's turned on by non circular planets it seems opbvious the way is a planet, see "the shape of the way" topic in estrana.

Well he is insanely old and says hes the "closest" thing to a forerunner there is. There is fog though, so he would probably not be able to pass it unless hes got some psychotic defense against it.

I still think the fog is just a misconception. It's like many of the ancient myths of our culture. The world is flat because we can see the horizion, the sun is a hole in the sky that lets the light in. Etc. Perhaps the fact that the sky meets the land at the horizion is proof that the "wall of fog" exists.

I'll go with the idea that the mists are caused by the shockwave unleashed by the Lord Below.

If there is a wall of fog, it'd be awesomely cool, and my guess would be that some abominable monsters dwell there and feast on wanderers who fall behind.

I think he is talking about Rhue's conversation with the man in the M 2 O map.

I put the entire Convo with that guy on the list. Though he doesnt actually talk about the mists much, which is why I split it into three parts. He talks alot more about the window and the Ocean.

He says "Teh mists turn blood red before crashing down" if so, then why aren't they....
