Must be a very big change.

That seems like much more than just a coincidence....Lun has said that he derived a lot of the symbolism in The Way from Christian philosophy....take the three endings...one seems to be the heavenly ending, where Rhue lives in peace with Lexus, then the purgatory ending, where Rhue (either with or without Kloe) has to go on living, despite knowing who and what he is, seemingly trapped in a state of limbo regarding knowing his true identity, then the Pits ending, where Rhue has to face his inner demons (quite literally)....there has to be more to that than a mere coincidence, but I'll be damned if I know what it is.

Well, Eyashu was the closest thing to a forerunner. The forerunners are like those chosen by the Purpose to pave the way, both literaly and figuratively, for the rest of the wanderers.

Jesus was the son of God, sent to show us the way to God.

Eyashu was killed by Pontifex Maximus (an important position in the Roman Republic, though later held by the emperor himself in the Roman Empire) Tetzel.

Jesus was betrayed by Judas and killed by the romans.

One can certainly draw parallels.

Would Eyashu have been betrayed/sold out by someone then?

Midian is the land where Moses saw the burning bush.

Jeruh is a chinese name butI cant find any meaning of it.
And the Lord said unto John, "Come forth and receive eternal life." But John came fifth and won a toaster.

Hmm doesn't Judas have something to do with a weapon or something?

Tetzel sounds a bit like it was made in the same language as Pontifex Maximus... 8)

Perhaps you're thinking of longinus? Though that's actually the spear with which the roman guard standing by Jesus' cross stabbed Jesus in the chest to prove he was dead, or something like that. I can't remember exactly offhand.

And Pontifex Maximus is latin. Tetzel doesn't really sound latin to me. Though I could be wrong, seeing as I haven't studied latin, but I'm still fairly sure it doesn't sound like latin.

I thought Longinus was the roman soldier that poked jesus in the side with the lance. *checking google* yep Longinus is the soldier.

the name is longinus (spirit lance in the english ver) and it obviously refers to the spear that piecred jesus, wielded by longinus. Just like the holy graal it was a normal object untill it came in contact with crist, the spear became hole after piercing christ and the graal holy after collecting the water that had come out of the wound. Or so they say...

Yeesh, off-topic, but interesting. Anyway, didn't Kavax say that the-person-we-knew-as-Rhue was, or used to be Kura? And what was all that about water changing its shape and adapting and everything? I think that might've been a reference to the way that Kura had changed.

I think he wasn't referring to just kura, but rather the being that Rhue is, well I guess it means kura, you get the point.
