Crap ,topic title didn't fit. Whatever, just keep going...

Sorya wrote:Relax dear, all I did was
drop the 'Y' from my name and mix
the letters up to form "Rosa".

It's quite a common
practice really.

Symbolically speaking,
dropping a letter from one's name
represents the release of an old
outlook, attitude, or sin.

In the same manner adding
an additional letter would symbolize
a new addition to one's self.

Some don't drop any
letters, they just rearrange
the letters. I don't know
what that symbolizes though.

So Jeruh became Rhue, to forget the massacre.
Sorya became Rosa to make her a mysterious fighter in the arena.
Kava became Kavax after coming back to life and being Pharaphalyn, which he gives away to 'Rhue/Venge.'

But what about not dropping letters, just mixing? Who did that?

Scatha.

Sounds to me like becoming a completely new person, but still having the memories of their past (keeping all the old letters). At least that's what fits Chasta/Scatha.

Well, that might be because you spelled Scatha's old identity incorrectly. It's Chasta.

Touché. But nonetheless, what's the point of making a list to see if letters are rearranged in names when the letters are incorrect?

Does Alagard --> Traziun count? The names have nothing in common and he changed his name because he had to, but still ...

has anyone ever figgured out who the first rhue was?
I just replayed the entire thing and, I think it was Gaius said sompthing like "Rhue...Wasn't that the name of.... "

The first Rhue was Jeruh. After the Landorin Massacre Jeruh changed his name to Rhue.

Yes, but it's making it sound like the name Rhue was used by someone else, and Gaius knew of them, so maybe they did sompthing important?

The name was used by someone else, Jeruh. And Gaius knew him as Rhue. So when the guy you know starts going by the name of someone he killed, you might mutter somthing like that to yourself as well.
