Is Rhue still... Rhue?

This is probably a stupid question, but after episode six, is Rhue still Rhue? Well, he realizes that he is a living fake, but what about his personality? Does he still have habits like saying, "Wonderful." Or have sudden streaks of violence [though I am not too sure if that is a trait inherited from Jeruh or not]? I guess common sense says yes, but I am still curious to see what people think.

He's still himself, he is just not "Rhue".

Well some of that was defined by his journey. His determination to find Serena is often what spawned the frustration that led to his violent streaks. Also, the hopelessness of his situation may be what caused his pecimism.

Of course he may be just as pessimistic now about how he doesnt really exist.

If the violenece was brought on by desparation about Serena, wouldn't that pass with the old aura? I mean, although Rhue loved Serena, wouldn't that slough off when he finds out who he really is... er is not. What I'm saying is, does the aura have an impression on the soul? And which parts of emotion and thought belong to the soul and which to the aura? I think Lun is trying to say something deeply philosophical through that. Not that I take all this body-aura-soul business seriously in real life.

It may seem unlikely, but I think that before meeting with Jeruh, Rhue was just another Wanderer who happened to have a shadow sword. My reasons are:
- Gaius is a senser and he serves justice. I don't think he would have worked with Rhue if he was a mass murderer, therefore I doubt an evil aura from the shadow sword had control of him.
- In dream Estrana, Rhue looks like Rhue, if your aura is what appears in DE then the Aura controlling the sword in reality is the Aura in DE which looks like the body controlling the aura. This also supports my assumption that when Jeruh died, he programmed Rhues aura with a new identity rither than simply creating an entirely new aura and putting it in charge of the shadow sword, but that is irrelevant)
(A question we can ask from this is what does the aura controlling the sword in the Lexus ending look like?)
...I had others but I can't remember, maybe later... this still doesnt answer why Rhue wanted Jeruh dead, and many other things, but since we know that the aura in control in the body is the bodies original aura (the one Jeruh reprogrammed), I'm assuming that all he has left is the dregs of his false identity, unless it's possible for him toof a slow system recover and piece his old identity back together.

Eh I still like the theory that somehow "Rhue" killed Midian at some point and took on his aura. From there on he went about looking for Jeruh to kill him, kinda explained by what he says when he runs into him at the end, "I've been waiting for this my entire life."

Gaius reads Auras though, so since Midian's aura was in control he would only be able to sense Midian's past. Midian more or less probably didn't do much to deserve death, so Gaius didn't outright kill him.

wait, so gaius, being able to sense people's past, was on a mission to kill every who had done terrible things?

if thats true, then i can think of a few things explained. Gaius wanted to kill jeruh cause, ya know, he slaughtered landorin. and he would want to help midian kill jeruh, cause gaius is a nice dude who sluaghters people who have commited serious sins in their past. Gaius woulnd't want to ever see Kloe again because he would have to kill her for killing ballmen guy, the mayor dude, and he doesn't want to kill her cause he still loves her. Then, Gaius would hang around "Jeruh-Rhue", because he wanted to find out why he had a different memory then "Midian-Rhue" and why he had Jeruh's past in his head.

I dont remember where fwacho said it, but he said Gaius and Rhue had lotsa reasons to travel together. maybe those are it. okay, way too much thinking for a day, time for some GUNZ. @_@

I dunno, from the pits ending it seemed like Gaius really wanted to be with Kloe, but couldn't.

yeah, he wanted to be with Kloe, but he couldn't, because he kills people who commit awful sins, and she did.

But, i could be wrong. Right now, i cant remember why Gaius left the blood lyn and ditched Kloe.

Heres the convo in the pits ending:

Gaius: I pushed her away because I love her.
Rhue: That doesn't make any sense...
Gaius: You don't? It's so obvious. My life is just too painful to be shared with another.
Rhue: Maybe she could help you.
Gaius: No, I'm headed for destruction.
Rhue: Why not choose a different path?
Gaius: There are some things in life that we don't have any control over.
Rhue: So you'll just walk away?
Gaius: Should I leave behind a fatherless child and a grieving widow as my legacy? I can't justify that, no matter how many times I try.

Doesnt look like he cant because he would have to kill her to me. If his job actually is killing sinful people, then he must have control over it, otherwise that would have been the reason they couldnt be together. Not to mention that Gaius was avoiding Kloe even before he knew what she did.

On a totally different note, who the hell is Traziun talking about in the pits ending? At first it sounds like it was his mother, but the last comment doesnt make sence if it is.

I briefly mentions being involved with someone previously during the game.

In Chapter 2 I think.
