Maybe the sword isn't rhue's tool

Ever think it may be the other way around? Remember, Gaius is a senser and all, and it was him that triggered "Dream Estrana." Maybe thats exactly what it is, just a dream, not a reflection of the sword or anything. It could very well be pieces of Rhue's past that the sword wants him to forget. The sword could be just like a drug to rhue. The sword's taken over and held a symbiotic relationship with Rhue for so long that rhue can't go on without it.

Maybe Gaius pulled those memories from the back of Rhue's mind and placed them in his conciousness.

Just some food for thought.

Dream Estrana is definitely not real, nor forgotten memories of his past. How come all the dead people show up there? And the people he had never met before, until recently (Episodes 1-5)?

Your theory has too many holes, I'm afraid. :/

Thats exactly what I said.. Dream estrana is a dream - not the inside of his sword or whatever.

Rhue doesnt remember who these people are, does he? Of course not, because he's changed personalities so many times. But Gaius, as a senser, has the power to see people's pasts.

Dream Estrana could be Gaius showing Rhue who he really is by pulling all the memories from "Rhue's" mind and placing them in his conciousness.

The result of all the clashing memories could be the place we know as Estrana.

Thats kinda what i was thinking. The sword only allows him to asorb the auras but his lack of an aura is what cause Dream Estrana, were all the aura he absorbed have pieced themselves together.

Hmm, then what exactly happened "outside" that made Gaius kill him? [assuming the blood is Rhue's]

The result of all the clashing memories could be the place we know as Estrana.

Or possibly because it was one of the last places his visited and was significant to him. Who knows.

Estrana was built upon Janwen's ruins.

Nope. Didn't read any of them.

Actualy, I should apologize for not being more specific in the quote you posted. All of his memories (Which he cant remember. This is quite possible, too. Think of Dreams in real life - you always have them, but almost always never remember them, very much similar to Rhue's situation) are brought together in his memory of estrana (Dream estrana).. I really dont understand how anybody can claim that this theory holds any less weight than dream estrana being inside of rhue's sword. And as I said before, like a master of clinical psychology, Gaius helps Rhue remember these.

The part about not reading posts was directed at Elachim
and there's no need to apologize.

You theory holds weight, but it has less things supporting it then the other theory, so until you have more ways to prove that your theory has a basis, people will keep scoffing at you.

Well rhue did not destroy estrana.. Sacrifa did. So why would rhue have absorbed its aura. From the only time we see rhue absorb an aura, the sword did the destroying.

Uhhh... you're really missing a key fact there. All Rhue has to do is be near a dead body/destroyed town to absorb the aura. Thats why he would have absorbed the aura.

That's assuming that Dream Estrana is in fact home to all the souls his sword has absorbed. That itself is a theory. The single time we see rhue absorb an aura for sure is when he kills Jeruh.

No, I'm just assuming that facts given to us are true.

When Rhue has the plunge with Slade that results in his sword being stuck in Slade's chest, Rhue sees a bit of Slades past... A few scenes later and apparently before Rhue wakes up, he is in dream estrana. He speaks with the girl, Midian and sees the red headed woman briefly (that everyone is guessing is Traz's mother).

Considering that he was no where near Gaius during this period, how do you explain this with your theory?

EDIT:

Are you trying to say that the shadow sword absorbing auras of people that die near the sword is a theory? This was said in the game by someone in DE I believe... So if you think that is false information, then that means by your theory that Gaius was feeding Rhue false information.
