I'm atheist but it seems to mirror christianity alto... if not just by the name "The Way" as being the early christian flowers there's a bajillion other examples that i don't feel like talking about if this has already been covered... iv do a quick search but noting turned up.

Yeah, it's been talked about before. But The Way has been linked from everything from Smashing Pumpkins to Taoism, so I think it's safe to say that you can draw comparisons between The Way and almost everything with a little imagination.
But I guess when Traziun killed all those blood lyn in E5 was a lot like in the lost Book of Whoop-ass, where Jesus took out all the time travelling emo guys with the holy grenade launcher. Most people miss that part.

... I think I might even be able to relate The Way to a porn I once saw...
Has Lun even read the bible? If not, I really don't think we'll find enough intentional connections to warrant speaking of this ever again.

There is a cross hidden in the game over screen, together with "Death has lost its sting, help me I am afraid" and a third message I do not recall. all directly related to Christianity, Not to mention the fact the Tetzel was a catholic priest that would sell people passes to heaven for outrageous prices. and Martin Luther has conforted him and brought upon the protestant church, revealing Tetzel's true nature.
Christianity is used as a way to hint us about the true nature of The Way,
It represents the fact that Tetzel is manipulating the wanderers for his own gains, hiding the truth from them.
it also means far more, But we still haven't managed to figure out the rest.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Tetzel
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Luther
http://www.aloha.net/~mikesch/tetzel.htm
http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/14539a.htm
all should be read with a grain of salt, as all are largely biased
The next step for cracking this mystery, I believe, is to find out who is "Martin Luther"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_solas
this can also be a hint.
Also, Traziuns famous sentence (An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a life for a life) came from the Hebrew bible, hinting that Traziuns, perhaps, knows much about the "original" guided and the purpose, but not of what has happened after the time he has left his father's side.

Errr This is not about christianity it's just something that struck me yesterday as I was listening to the song...
http://www.lyricsdownload.com/dj-tiesto ... yrics.html
Is it just me or is this apart from a time and a place THE best song for ending the way, or at least rhue's storyline?
I posted the lyrics underneath here... I hope none has posted this before though sorry if they did...
You can travel the world
But you can't run away
From the person you are in your heart
You can be who you want to be
Make us believe in you
Keep all your light in the dark
If you're searchin for truth
You must look in the mirror
And make sense of what you can see
(I mean come on isn't this obvious? This IS about Rhue right?)
Just be
Just be
They say learning to love yourself
Is the first step
That you take when you want to be real
Flying on planes to exotic locations
Won't teach you
How you really feel
Face up to the fact
That you are who you are
Nothing can change that belief
Just be
Just be
'cause now I know
It's not so far
To where I go
The hardest part
Is inside me
I need
To just be
Just be
(This pretty much sums up the whole 6th episode for me...)
Just be
Just be
Just be
I was lost
And I'm still lost
But I feel so much better
(Ending of episode 6 ^_^)
'cause now I know
It's not so far
To were I go
The hardest part
Is inside me
I need
To just be
Just be
So what you guys think? The beats are pretty good in the song, and Kristy delivers a twisted voicetrack so it's alltogether pretty decent. For those who've never heard from DJ Tiesto, he's pretty big in my home country, and also beyond, but I'm not his biggest fan though...

There are definitely references to Christianity in the Way, but to what end is not clear. "An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth," is not only in the Hebrew Bible, but in the English - it was the Old Testament law of retribution, and was quoted and cast off by Jesus in the New Testament when He gave the intsruction to Christians to "turn the other cheek." "Death has lost its sting" is also a direct quote from the Bible, I think from the book of Isiah, though I'm not sure. I'm also not sure what Lun's intention was when he put those in...

Eye for an Eye tooth for a tooth actually dates back to ancient Babylonian law if I'm not mistaken. Gotta love Christianity's "rich mosaic" (blatent stealing) of other cultures.

Sup all.
Well, I haven't had time to read all your posts but I do belive there was a event in history which christians took a long path of refugee from some place and yeah, you may all be thinking "so fuck what?" but I really haven't gathered all my info on the subject I'm talking about. Just throwing a idea out there.
Later.

Hmm, so, Tetzel was selling indilgences in real life, and was using the Purpose as a means to justify his Organization's actions, both are acquiting sinner's for thier sins.
Martin Luther was a stout Christian, who saw through Tetzel's deciet, and posted his list of 95 wrongs he saw within the Church.
I know i am rambling but the whole point was that when yo anagram the name Luther, you can get Rhue + TL.
It probably has no significance, but The Way is gonna be on my mind until i read "The Wheel of Time." So in the mean time, i guess any dots i happen to akwardly connect seem greatly significant.
Despite losing spirit, i have regained hope with the discovery of a story paralell The Way, and if it in any way can enlighten me to the purpose of this story, then reading that book is well worth it.
Besides, if a book paralells The Way, how bad can it be?
(no more posts after midnight for me)

These points are pretty much what I was speaking about, though I did not notice the Luther=Rhue+TL anagram
And the Wheel of time may helps us, but I doubt it will give away more then a single clue. though at this point, we need all clues we can get, still, I belive that the key to it all is Tetzel.
P.S.: If I recall correctly Luther was also the founder of the protestant church
