The made-up aura that is Rhue stays in DE - so what? It's effectively decided to cut itself off from the outside world and live inside the mind of the mimic. Something else takes over the body, as we see. It seems to me that there is a controlling prescence inside Rhue, which I would guess is what we see when Rhue stays in DE, and which shapes the dominant aura towards it's aim: killing people and absorbing their auras. It could be that this is just Rhue's urge to avoid madness, his mind creating auras mished together, but that then leaves a ginormous question mark over the mysterious flying thing that takes him over. Just an idea.
As for the overlapping aura theory; if that is the case, why the especially big deal with Jeruh? That only really makes sense if he is the basis of the whole "Rhue" aura, and that fits, as he says that "Rhue" was a personality he made up.
