Shiny thing in water in Way's End

Anyone have idea what the thing that flows in the river is in the last map (End of the Way) After you get to the normal ending?

It has like the shiny sprite which items have when they're on the floor.

Always figured it was the pendent Cetsa threw away in the previous episode.
