If I win all of the shadow plunges will I still be able to see the "normal" ending?

Yeah, you only get the reaches ending if you go into the reaches after defeating the shadow lyn, you could still go into the tower and get the regular ending. Or the Lexus ending as well.

Wait? After the "end" the game isn't over?

actually it's over when it ends but depending on how you play you can get a different ending. Ya dig?

No actually I don't... Let's say if I want to see all 3 ending when would be the best time to save and then copy the save file to a safe place?

Right after you battle Core, the safepoint before him. From there, you should be able to access every ending.

I think you need to put Defend on. Otherwise the damage taken is just too big.

I haven't fought Gharon so I don't know for sure...

Heh, I remember when Lun had first said to just defend against it, everyone was so dumbstruck. Seriously, outside of Golden Sun's auto defend, when have you ever told a character to defend?

Everyone was dumbstruck because no one ever defends, myself included. Defending is the last thing I think about. Casting a defensive spell or switching defensive auras, maybe ... but not just straight defending. Course I'm the same guy who never blocked in Mortal Kombat.

I learnt after the first time it wiped me out that the damage was too high for my characters to possibly survive and used defend on everyone the second time I faced it ^_^

Unfortunatley I purposely didn't read the forums while playing the game so as not to spoil anything.. So I had no idea that there was an ending down in that pit, I thought it was just a side quest ¬.¬

My team was weak cause I hadn't finished playing the game yet, and I ended up fighting that thing for an hour the second time around.. Eventually "The end of the way" comes later and later after Rhue mentions that something bad is coming, until it finally stopped doing that move all togeather o.o .. And then I was finally able to make my move after defending more then I ever have done in any game I can remember at this moment..

I just spent shit loads of time training.

yah. and while training, you'll be tempted to cheat..
