Trouble with saves between ep.2 and ep.3

Hi. When I beat episode 2 my game doesn't seem to put a transferable save file in the file folder. Just beat that super hard canon minigame too. I'm currently running on windows 7. Read only is not on. Any advice?

Okay, it seems like it's not a bug with the game, it's a matter of window's read only default settings to all folders in program files (x86). That said, I've tried running a, attrib -r -s "c:\program files (x86)\the way" command as an admin and it got me nowhere. Also, I'm not able to simply uncheck the permissions box. I've also tried disabling authorization requests via the user account controls.

I'd run the game as an Admin but when I do that it won't let me access my saves. Not sure why...

Is there something I'm missing? I get the feeling anyone wanting to go back and play the way on a new windows computer is going to run into this.
