Hmm...

Don't know if anyone has noticed this yet but I'd like to point out a few areas of intrigue....

In the Lexus ending, during the credits, Cetsa's body is gone and there's a trail of blood leading to the right....does she survive in this ending? If so, where does she go?

Also, in the Reaches ending, why does everyone disappear after it returns to the scene where Rhue, Traziun, and Gaius were? I could understand Rhue maybe getting sucked inside the sword or something, but what about Traziun and Gaius?

Just a few things I was curious about....anyone care to enlighten me?

As I recall, there's a bloody spot where Rhue had been standing. So Rhue dies somehow. Perhaps he slays himself in grief or goes mad and Gaius has to destroy him. (I'd put my money on the former.) Then everybody else leaves under their own power, and they take Rhue's body to bury. The scene as shown is simply delayed a bit until after this has happened.

I have to disagree with the Lexus ending as being "good". Lexus is a personification of his humane temptations which, in the Lexus ending, he subjects himself to. As the Pits ending stated, truth could only be achieved through suffering, which is what he goes through during Ep6. In the Lexus ending, he ignores his past, what he is, and reality in itself, and lives out his existence in a fake fantasy-land. Not a bad ending, though. It doesn't help that I HATE Lexus

Yeah, it always has felt a little wrong for Rhue to live his life out in Dream Estrana, even if I do like the romance and all that. I prefer the thought of him living in the real world, out on the Way (And he hitches up with Kloe, so he's not bad off).

Dr Casey, you know the guy in your sig was, I think, a few metres away from being correct? >_>

I've only seen the normal ending so far. I got Lexus, though, and I'm looking for two more shadows. It pissed me off because there are about a billion loose ends and abandoned/unexplained parts of the plot, and no number of endings can fix it up. I'm really disappointed that Lun made it look as if he had an incredibly huge scheme planned out, then just dumped nearly all of the characters and didn't explain all the foreshadowing. Pretty much none of the main cast that was actually still alive appears in E6.

Tetzel was made out to be really important by Dirk, Gaius, and Sacrifa, and the entire plotline there is dumped. Dirk and Scatha both do absolutely nothing, so we don't know how Scatha knows Rhue, or about Dirk's background. Gaius is quite distinctly NOT explained at all, so we still know nothing about him - almost as if he were set up for another cliffhanger but didn't realise that was the end. Strata just runs on and off for a moment, doing nothing. Traziun dies. Sacrifa makes no sense and has no reason to be with Rhue or want to get into the tower. We never find out the truth about the Phantom Slasher, or the voice that spoke to Rhue near the end. We don't know how Midian died (and went to The City), or why Rhue was trying to kill Jeruh. The two can explain each other, but if you were to say that Rhue already had Midian's aura, then we have no idea whatsoever how he got it. Jeruh should still have it. We don't even know who the two people who were there when Jeruh got his sword were. The entire episode was filled with unnamed plot device characters, like the one who explains the whole Illuminati story (WHY IS THAT THERE? Lun was actually introducing MORE things he wasn't ever going to explain or finish), and the person who tells you about Shadow Swords (and seems to briefly recognise Rhue). The list of unexplained things goes on and on. We don't even know anything about the nature of the Way that was supposed to be explained, or about The City. A lot of stuff fwacho said was important or interesting was never mentioned in E6.

Maybe we can theorise about some of it, but for the first time, we know that there's no point because there's no telling if what we've thought of is true or not. The story feels completely unfinished, and it's really frustrating. Most of the bombshells were stuff we'd already worked out.

I've cleared the arena, but I get the feeling there's still something to finish there, to become the champion and open that door... I've also found two or three posters of Sorya, I don't know what the fuck is up with this flirt thing, but it's probably related to that, erm, R-rated place I found, where I don't know how to do anything anyway. Do I need to have killed Sorya in E5 to meet her in The City?

And I was wandering around the concert place and stumbled into some demonic mini-game with spikes and arrows and a Phantom guy who has crap paintings (and I found a key, which I don't know where to use). Am I missing something? There was a room on the way where Rhue kept talking about "she".

Impossible, I share your frustration to great extent. It seemed in Ep 5 that things were being set up for a grand conclusion that never materialized. The fact that Tetzel was pretty much ignored is disappointing, as is the fact that all of the events in the last act of this great story in effect never happened in the "real world." As you said, too many loose ends and unexplained items, and to try to resolve them through theories and guesses isn't satisfying for me.

The story has tripled in size, but like I've mentioned before, the updates never got posted. I'll try again once I finish the next chapter.

I feel really, horrendously unsatisfied with the whole thing... How can I feel good about a story with five parts of awesomeness leading to NOTHING that made sense in the sixth part? Even Rhue himself wasn't explained properly.

And you know what else? We're told that "Truth Hides Nothing", but the fact is that a fuckload of things are still very hidden, and we don't know the truth. Ultimately, even if there is a sequel planned, we needed all our questions about RHUE (and thus Jeruh and Midian, who are now gone forever with the sword destroyed) answered, and they aren't.

Ya' know, it doesn't even have to be the end of the episode, he could be saving the real ending for final release. Hell, if I had such a great series, I probably wouldn't let the beta testers see the ending before everyone else. I can't say I'm expecting this to happen and I can't say I even want it to. Unlike some people, I'm completely fine with a story not ending. I play for the story and I write my own truths.

I was had thought up that too, but that would never happen. Whats Lun going to say, "Now just keep this extreamly confidential information secret for the next year or so". Though on the other hand the coding does say EP6 was supposed to end right as Rhue entered the Phantom's Blade, so you never know.
