The bottem of the last page of the main controller event in The City map.
And the Lord said unto John, "Come forth and receive eternal life." But John came fifth and won a toaster.

That isn't the only thing on that page... There are heaps of notes there. Anyone want to work out what they all mean? Some are interesting... Lun wasn't happy with the dialogue? A couple of notes do make it sound like E6 still needed more work.

The fact that this was originally the end may be part of the evidence that Lun had more planned...

Or has more planned. For some reason I get the feeling there might be something missing from the beta tests, and Lun will have one last scene that will set the stage for . . . a sequel? A prequel? Maybe I'm too optimistic, but I doubt that Lun would leave us hanging like this. Or maybe the hardest thing to do to a great story . . . is to try to end it in a great way.

Maybe you're too optimistic, maybe I'm too pessimistic. But I hope Lun understands this - NONE of the story makes sense. So much foreshadowing and so many characters came to NOTHING and were never explained.

Optimistic, pessimistic . . . the real truth lies somewhere in between. But we both agree there are too many holes for this to be a satisfactory conclusion. That's why I'm hoping for Lun to reveal some kind of ace in the hole in the completed release. Unfortunately, that is more of a pipe dream than anything else. Ep6 will more than likely stand as is, but I still have that hope. We won't know for sure until the final beta wave is complete.

don't start bashing me because I go to gmw but do read this...
http://www.gamingw.net/reviews/1251

After reading this nice review of episode 5, I fear the reaction of the "lesser into it" fanbase, who might not like Lun or the way that much.
I hope they won't condemn this very episode into the depths of the pits...
Ken~ says: I'll be a cop by then...
~Alundra~ says:All right, grand tour of china! drivin' around in a cop car!
Ken~says:You'll be wearing the uniform too?
~Alundra~ says:no u'll wear the uniform
~Alundra~ says:i'll just be sitting next to you going woeh woeh woeh ¨-^

It's what I call a steven king ending.

The story is amazing, and epic, and stunning. But then the ending just... putters out.

This couldn't have been more of a steven king ending if Lun had a giant glowing hand save the day.

according to teh best informaiton I have avialbale this is not the last you'll ever hear about the way. I do belive it may be the last bit done in RM2k. It's too good a story to just let die.

The end of The Way in RM2K? What does he plan on using? I'm guessing not a different RPG Maker...

God dammit, I wish Lun had just saved E6's ending for a later episode, and instead resolved the plot with Tetzel and some other characters first. I really want to know what happened with them... The thing is, Rhue doesn't seem to care, so although E6's ending means that his life will contain endless loose ends, he'll never bother with them anyway. I just don't understand why there are more mysteries about Rhue, if that was the end of Rhue's story.

Fwacho's comment about the end of the Way in RM2K is no doubt in regard to his statement in a previous topic about Lun doing some other project to make some money off of the Way. Maybe a book or a comic or something . . . bottom line is maybe we might have to pay to see the end? I can't begrudge him that I guess, he's spent so much time on it and it's won so much admiration. I just wish he would finish it in RM2K since that's where he started it.

Someone said in another topic that no continuation could have quite the same "weight" as The Way, and I agree with them. There was just so much foreshadowing, so much depth, so many characters... I wanted to see those three aspects and more carry the plot to its end, which they didn't.

The "weight" comment was made by me, thanks. :) But it's true - now that there is some discussion of another Way project, it won't be the same to find out about the answers to all these questions since we first learned about them through Rhue's eyes. Those questions were part of what drove Rhue's story, and I'll be disappointed if I hear it's over since Rhue's experiences were what I cared about.

Yes, that would really hurt it for me. Also, because it would feel like Lun was making new projects just to tie up loose ends, and not to create a new plot. It would feel too forced like that. There are a lot of reasons why it won't be as good, but hopefully Lun will still amaze us.

I'm going to reserve judgement until we learn a little bit more about what the hell fwacho is talking about. That's all anyone can do. And since it involves making some $$, it must be announced publicly at some point, so fwacho couldn't be messing with us. With Lun, you'll never know. Maybe it'll be something so awesome we'll forget there was ever a RM2K game . . . or maybe not.
